Chad is the head of acquisitions and fund formation at Cornerstone. With more than 25 years of experience in commercial finance, he provides expertise on financial analysis, deal structuring, fund development, and strategic planning. Since joining the Cornerstone team since 2015, Chad has orchestrated the launch of seven closed-end funds and has led the acquisition and disposition efforts of more than $250 million of HCRE assets. Chad is especially excited about Cornerstone’s continued expansion into rural markets, bringing clinics closer to those people in need of care.
Chad holds a B.A. in English and Political Science from Indiana University and an M.B.A. from Loyola University Chicago with a concentration in Finance. Throughout his career, Chad has worked with both suburban and rural healthcare systems as well as numerous independent specialty physician practices. His previous roles include Managing Director for Lakeside Equity Group and Head of Corporate Banking for National City Bank. While at National City, Chad directed over $150 million in direct and bank qualified financing for regional hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and medical practices. His oversight included 35 branches, 300 employees, and the direction of a $400 million loan portfolio. Chad enjoys navigating the unique regulatory and competitive challenges associated with the healthcare industry and the opportunity to bring unique financial solutions to current and prospective healthcare tenants. He has served on the board of many community organizations, including Munson Healthcare. Chad currently resides in Traverse City, Michigan with his family and is a proud father of three.
