Headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, their mission is to provide the highest quality, comprehensive bone, joint, spine and muscle care to patients throughout the Midwest, the United States and around the world. Their award-winning hospital is ACR accredited and ACHC (formerly known as HFAP) certified.

Cornerstone Connection

OrthoIndy has an exclusive partnership with Cornerstone to provide Property & Facility Management services for their portfolio, which encompasses eight locations across central Indiana. Our staff oversees the day-to-day operations of each location including, but not limited to, providing 24-hour/365 days a year maintenance at the main hospital and remaining locations, staffing, facility improvements, code compliance, third-party contracts, budgeting and reporting. We ensure all facility operations are up to code and our team keeps detailed documentation for regulatory and accreditation agencies. This enables hospital administration to focus on core competencies like patient care and physician recruitment.

Cornerstone staff interfaces with patients on a regular basis, thus all of our techs complete rigorous training in infection control and fire/life/safety. This includes many of the same healthcare clearances and onboarding programs as required by OrthoIndy staff. Every facility worker is well-versed in compliance requirements specific to their role.

Outsourcing property and facilities management is a growing trend for hospital systems and medical practices. Cornerstone works with OrthoIndy and other clients to ensure careful management of facility operations and compliance, streamlining the process and helping to protect the organization’s accreditation status.

In addition to Property & Facility Management services, OrthoIndy utilizes Cornerstone’s Brokerage, Construction, and Development services.

After completing a 17,250 SF in-patient unit expansion at OrthoIndy South recently, we submitted the project for consideration for the HREI Insights Awards. We were thrilled to find out the project won its category – Best Renovated Healthcare Facility. The HREI Insights Awards are the first and only national awards dedicated to recognizing excellence in the areas of healthcare real estate development and executive leadership.
